How to use
How to use
Dynaroot™ Powder is easy to use, and should be used as directed below:
- Dip 10-20 mm of the lower plant cutting into the powder
- Tap gently on the side to remove any excess powder
- Plant the cutting in any medium of your choice (see below the suitable growing media)

- The powder adheres to the cutting, providing a concentrated dose of IBA exactly where it is needed most.
- The size of the cutting should be governed by the species and method of propagation, i.e. softwood, semi-hardwood, or hardwood.
- It’s recommended to preferably utilise a mixture of peat and sand, that has been be well-drained. Keep the medium moist, but please note not to over water the medium. Keep the cuttings away from full sunlight. Should there be no shade, use a piece of shade netting.
- Lateral shoots from the current year’s growth are usually the most reliable and are best taken at a node or joint, or at the base of a shoot, and with the lower leaves removed.
- Suitable rooting media include: Sand&Sand, Peat&Sand, Peat & Loam
- Gentle bottom heat in the rooting medium will improve and hasten the effect of Dynaroot™ Powder if the plants are naturally dormant or the growth is slow.
- Cuttings consisting of the shoots of deciduous plants (plants or trees that seasonally shed leaves), normally strike best if taken about 3 to 6 months after the new season’s growth commences.
- Chrysanthemum cuttings may be taken as soon as new basal shoots are available.
- Carnation cuttings treated with Dynaroot™ will root at practically any time if protected in a warm greenhouse during cold weather.
